Agenda:
- Check-in.
- Warm up, intros, and prayer.
- Bouldering 101 lesson if you've never climbed before.
- Climbing together! (Open climbing / Top rope climbing)
- Wrap up and closing.
Cost:
- $28 for day pass + $3 for renting shoes. (See https://goatclimbinggym.com/plan-a-visit/pricing/ for more details. 10-Passes or Gym Memberships are also available.)
- We want climbing to be available to everyone who wants to try, so if cost is a barrier please let us know.
What to Expect:
We’ll meet at GOAT Climbing (Hackensack, NJ). The group will be mostly “bouldering”, which is climbing without a rope on short walls above pads, with the option to do some top rope climbing as well. Top rope is climbing with a rope and harness on a taller wall, and we will have experienced belayers to handle the rope while you climb. We will start off with a Climbing 101 class for those who have never climbed before and we'll teach you everything you need to know to get started!

What to Bring:
- Yourself!
- Comfortable workout clothing that allows full range of movement.
- Pants – while you can wear shorts, the wall is textured and can be abrasive so pants may be safer.
- Socks – while most climbers don’t wear socks with their climbing shoes, we recommend socks if wearing rental shoes.
